WATERLOO REGION
Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest
Prost!
Canada’s biggest Bavarian celebration returns to Waterloo Region for four weekends of food, music, dancing, culture and plenty of Gemütlichkeit.
Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest runs from September 25 through October 17, with events taking place on select dates throughout the festival.
The biggest celebrations arrive over Thanksgiving weekend from October 9–12. Downtown Kitchener’s Willkommen Platz transforms King Street and Carl Zehr Square into an outdoor Bavarian village, complete with live entertainment, German cuisine, vendors and a Biergarten.
The annual Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade follows on Monday, October 12.
Whether you’re heading to a Festhalle with friends or spending the day downtown, Oktoberfest is one of Ontario’s quintessential fall experiences.

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair
Think fall fair season is over? Not quite.
Ontario’s agricultural season finishes on a grand scale when The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair returns to Toronto’s Exhibition Place from November 6–15.
Celebrating its 104th year in 2026, The Royal brings together the very best in Canadian agriculture, food and equestrian sport.
With more than one million square feet of attractions and entertainment, visitors can explore agricultural exhibits, discover Canadian food and watch some of the country’s top agricultural and equestrian competitors.
It’s a fitting finale to another incredible season of agricultural fairs across Ontario.

And these are only some of the fairs and festivals happening across Ontario this fall.
From major regional attractions to small-town fairs that have been community traditions for generations, there are opportunities to experience Ontario agriculture throughout the province.
