Online Staff Training

Are you interested in purchasing an online training course for your staff or volunteers? As a registered Organization you can purchase Tokens that can be redeemed towards a Smart Serve Online training course(s) and Final Test.

There are 2 different training programs available for purchase. Here are the details:

  1. Smart Serve Full Online Training Program: This comprehensive training program allows individuals to work in all environments related to selling, serving, delivering, or sampling liquor.
    It covers a range of topics relevant to responsible alcohol service.
    This program, including the Final Test, is fully translated and available in six (6) different languages: English, French, Chinese, Korean, Punjabi, and Spanish.
  2. Smart Serve Retail Online Training Program: This program is tailored for specific sectors within the alcohol industry, please read below.
    Individuals who take this training can ONLY work in the following areas:
    Retail Stores (e.g., Convenience Store, Grocery Store, Wine Store and other Retail Stores)
    This program, including the Final Test, is available in English, French, Korean, Chinese and Punjabi.

From your Organizational online account you can:

  • Purchase Tokens by clicking on “Store”
  • Monitor and view your Token redemptions and expiry dates
  • View your participants’ status

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Purchased Tokens are one time use and must be redeemed within 30 days, or they will expire
  • After a Token is redeemed, the user will have 30 days to complete the course and final test
  • Course Tokens include two (2) test attempts
  • To redeem a Token, the user must have an online Individual account(register at www.smartserve.ca)
  • All purchases are non-refundable and expired Tokens cannot be replaced
  • The Full Server Training Program, including the Final Test, is fully translated and available in six (6) different languages: English, French, Chinese, Korean, Punjabi, and Spanish.
  • The Retail Training Program, including the Final test is available in English, French, Korean, Chinese and Punjabi.

How to Purchase Course Tokens

1. Register

  • Register for an Organizational Account.

2. Login

  • Login to your Organizational Account and click “Store”.
  • Read the product description to ensure you are selecting the correct training course.

3. Distribute

  • One (1) course Token per person

Course Token Redemption

Distribute only one (1) Token per participant/student and provide the following instructions to the participants:

  1. Go to smartserve.ca and register for an Individual online account
  2. From your account dashboard, click “Redeem Tokens”
  3. Enter the token number provided to you
  4. Follow the steps and launch your online training!

DIGITAL CERTIFICATE (eCertificate): Participants/Students will be directly notified by email of their course completion status and certificate confirmation. Their Smart Serve certificate can be printed, downloaded, or saved directly from their online account.

You will not have access to view final certificate numbers in your administrative account. Participants should receive a confirmation email within 2 hours of successfully completing the Final Test.

TIP

You will be able to monitor the status of each participant/student from your Organizational administrative account. Once a Token is redeemed, the course must be completed within 30 days and participants/students must receive a score greater than 80% and pass the proctor review, before being issued a Smart Serve certificate.
