Invest in You

Highlighting earned certificates on your resume can help set you apart from other applicants. This can help show hiring managers that you have relevant skills and are a valuable hire. Some employers may use certificates as a filter before they even look at a resume.

Even if the certificate you have is not listed as a requirement in the job description, certificates can help showcase to potential employers that you are qualified.

The skills you learned in the Smart Serve training course are not just for bartenders and servers. The knowledge and confidence are valued in several other industries:

    • Travel & Tourism
    • Events & Festivals
    • Hotels & Motels
    • Grocery & Retail Sales
    • Food Delivery & Catering
    • Restaurants & Bars
    • Security & Event Staff
    • Weddings & Private Events
    • Volunteering & Community Organizations
    • ….and wherever alcohol is sold, served, delivered or handled

Some employers may have a policy that requires you to update your training. At the end of the day, certifications on your resume (and digital profiles) can be very helpful to make you stand out.
